Dispute resolution

If the parties to a lease cannot resolve a dispute through their own negotiations, either party may apply for mediation using the independent mediation scheme administered by this office. A fee applies for this service.

If a dispute cannot be resolved by negotiation or mediation, the matter will have to be taken to the Civil (Consumer and Business) Division of the Magistrates Court. If you have any queries about their processes you will need to contact your nearest Magistrates Court.
