Free information sessions



The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs provides free information sessions which are tailored to meet the specific needs of landlords, property managers and tenants. To register, please fill out the form below and click on the 'Register Now' button to submit your form. Courses may be cancelled if insufficent enrolments are received. REISA members please note: attendance at each information session is worth two points towards CPM accreditation. If you enrol and are unable to attend, please notify us tenancy.advice@agd.sa.gov.au Confirmation of bookings will be sent in writing.

Managing your rental property

This two-hour course is aimed at the beginner landlord. It is a comprehensive course covering the rights and responsibilities of the landlord, including:

  • Bond lodgements
  • Leases
    • Types of leases
    • Additional conditions
    • Exclusions
  • Entering the property (legally)
  • Inspection sheets
  • Water readings
  • Rent records and receipts
  • Maintenance
  • The Residential Tenancies Tribunal

Forms 2 and 7

This two-hour course provides detailed and comprehensive information relating to rights and responsibilities where a breach by the tenant occurs and how to correctly complete the prescribed forms, including:

  • What to do when things go wrong
  • Types of breaches
  • Serving a valid breach notice
  • How to successfully apply to the Residential Tenancies Tribunal
  • Enforcing an order of the Residential Tenancies Tribunal
