OCBA - Bonds and rent

The landlord is able to request that the tenant pay a bond as security against a residential tenancy agreement and they are also able to request that two (2) weeks rent be paid in advance. If a landlord requests a bond at the beginning of a tenancy it must be lodged with the Tenancies Branch.
