Are you owed any unclaimed bond money?
OCBA can help people access bond money which they may have 'written off', or simply lost track of. Unclaimed bonds arise when people forget to cash bond refund cheques sent to them after their lease ends, or because they've changed addresses without notifying OCBA. If the money doesn't reach its rightful owner it's held in the Residential Tenancies Fund.
If you think you may have some unclaimed bond money contact OCBA's Tenancies Branch (Bond Section) on 8204 9555. If your name shows up in OCBA's unclaimed bonds records and you wish to claim the money you will need to provide relevant information (e.g. the exact address, the bond amount and the name of the landlord). You will also need to provide proof of your identity before you can be reimbursed.
