Yo-yo balls

The yo-yo ball has been banned because when used the elastic string may whip around a child's neck risking strangulation. The yo-yo ball is a squeezable soft plastic ball that is usually filled with liquid. The ball is attached to an elastic cord with a ring at the end, which is placed on the finger. The ball has been banned because when used the elastic string may whip around a child's neck risking strangulation. The soft plastic casing surrounding the liquid may puncture causing the liquid to escape. If splashed into an eye, the liquid can cause severe eye irritation.

The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs regularly monitors products that are available for sale in South Australia. If you are concerned about the quality of a product please contact us.
