Product safety

South Australian consumers have a responsibility to use products safely. They have the right to expect that the products they purchase will be safe and that the information provided with goods is accurate and easy to understand.

The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs is committed to the investigation of goods and services in relation to safety, quality and information. The legislation by which OCBA is empowered to carry out this role is the Trade Standards Act, 1979.
