Real estate information update!
There is updated information about to go onto this website to coincide with new legislation commencing shortly – the Statutes Amendment (Real Estate Industry Reform) Act 2007 comes into operation on 28 July 2008. Real estate industry reforms
The Statutes Amendment (Real Estate Industry Reform) Act 2007 comes into operation on 28 July 2008. The Act is designed to increase the transparency and accountability of agents and generally to increase the level of consumer protection. For further information click here.


Consumer Credit Code changes
Consumers will benefit from new protections proposed to the Consumer Credit Code (the Code), introduced into the Queensland Parliament. Changes regarding sale of goods or land by instalments will be brought within the scope of the Code and will be adopted nationally. For more information click here.


Mobile phones can cost you more than you think
Before you rush out to buy a mobile phone, think carefully about the money involved and the contract you may need to sign. Listen to a radio interview about problems that may arise with contracts, warranties etc.
