Reconstructions

This provides for Supreme Court approved schemes of arrangement, based on Part 5.1 of the Corporations Act. It allows compromises with creditors as an alternative to liquidation, and the reconstruction or merger of a co-operative with another co-operative.

CBS must examine any proposal for a scheme of arrangement, which requires approval of creditors and members in meetings ordered by the Court.
