General

This contains miscellaneous provisions including what constitutes service of a document on a co-operative, and service of a notice or other document required to be given under the Act to a member of a co-operative.

Notice to a member
A notice required under the Act to be given to a member of a co-operative must be in writing. It may be given personally or by post. It may also be given by publishing the notice in The Advertiser or in another newspaper in the area served by the co-operative, if:

it is a non-trading co-operative
the member's whereabouts are unknown to the co-operative or
CBS gives the co-operative permission. (s451)
