Buying a car

Buying a second-hand vehicle is one of the most expensive purchases you will make. The Second-hand Vehicle Dealers Act 1995, administered by the Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, provides protection for consumers and covers such issues as licensing of dealers, the sale process and warranties.
