Qualifications

You should ensure that the builder you choose holds a current and appropriately endorsed Building Work Contractor's Licence and Supervisor's Registration to perform the building work you require.

It is your builder's duty and responsibility to take reasonable care in the construction of your home or extension. In some cases this may require the builder to engage outside licensed and qualified tradespersons.

You can check if a tradesperson or builder is licensed on the Licensing Public Register.
