- alters the reading on the odometer
- removes the odometer, if only to repair it
- replaces the odometer, or
- renders the odometer inoperative or inaccurate.
To apply for approval to alter or replace an odometer you must complete the form
overleaf and forward it to the Office of Consumer and Business Affairs. Please allow three to four working days for approval and where possible include a return facsimile number to help us give you a prompt response.
Applications can be lodged:

- by mail: GPO Box 1719, Adelaide SA 5001
- in person: Level 4 Chesser House, 91-97 Grenfell Street, Adelaide
- by mail or in person at Berri, Mount Gambier, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Port Pirie or Port Lincoln - telephone 131 882 for further information.
