There are fees associated with Business Names registration.
Please refer to the fee schedule when you complete a form.

Please note: Some of the forms located on our website may be branded as Office of Consumer and Business Affairs. This agency is now known as Consumer and Business Services. All telephone enquiries should now be made using the 131 882 number.

Application for registration of a business name

Franchise consent

If you are applying for a Business Name which is part of an existing franchise, you must attach a letter of consent from the
franchisor stating you are eligible to register under that name.

Notice

If you are applying for a Business Name which is the same as your Body Corporate name, minus the legal requirements (ie. Pty Ltd), this notice must be completed and lodged with your application. Please Note: In this situation, the Body Corporate must be the sole proprietor of the Business Name.
