Government of South Australia, Office of Consumer and Business Affairs

Aboriginal Associations

The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs maintains a register of all associations incorporated in South Australia. This register contains the following information:

  • The registered name and date of incorporation
  • The name and registered address of the public officer
  • A copy of the constitution that sets out the rules for internal governance and management of the association
  • The dates of any alterations to the above.

A representative of the relevant association supplies this information to the Office of Consumer and Business Affairs. It is the responsibility of the public officer of that association to ensure that this information is current and correct and to contact us to make any changes necessary on the relevant form (See Forms for associations).

You can request a copy of this information for a small fee. However, some of these documents can now be accessed online, notably for associations located in remote or isolated areas of our State.

Information on this register is not authorised for the purpose of putting a person's name or address on a mailing list for advertising or marketing material. Unauthorised use of the information provided may result in civil or criminal liability under the Privacy Act 1988. The Commissioner expressly disclaims any liability arising from the use of this register.
