The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs (OCBA) is a division of the Attorney-General's Department within the South Australian Government's Justice Portfolio.

OCBA is customer focused and flexible in its activities, providing accessible services and information. We pride ourselves on ensuring that the legislative framework and its administration are fair and effective.

Who we are

The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs has five main branches that provide a service to the general public, namely:

Consumer Affairs (includes Trade Measurement and Product Safety)
Business and Occupational Services (includes Business Names, Associations and Co-operatives, Licensing)
Births, Deaths and Marriages
Tenancies (includes Residential, Retail, Bonds and support to the Residential Tenancies Tribunal)
Education and Information Services.
